The diaphragms are designed to measure the flow of liquids, gases, steam by the method of variable pressure drop using standard constricting devices. The diaphragms are used in combination with pressure difference converters or diffmanometers.

They are presented in two versions: the chamber diaphragm of the DCS differs from the tubeless DBS by the presence of annular chambers for the selection of static pressure directly at the diaphragm planes.

Diaphragms can be equipped with vessels:

• equalizing condensation (SCM), designed to maintain the constancy and equality of condensate levels in the system transmitting the pressure drop from the diaphragms to the diffmanometers;
• equalizing (SUM) designed for diffmanometers when measuring the liquid level and pressure drop or flow with a temperature above 100 ° C;
• separation devices (CP) designed to protect the internal cavities of diffmanometers from the direct impact of the measured aggressive media by transmitting the measured pressure through the separation fluid.
